Once a land of cheerful block parties and many friendships, Oberlund was a land of joy. Of peace. It was an easy town for its inhabitants to live in. Until the day is it was destroyed, lost in history beneath countless piles of rubble.
A tornado touched down un-expectedly one day when an odd colored storm hovered about the small town. Nobody excepted a twister to emerge from the clouds, and not one of such force and destruction as this storm did. Curiously enough, the clouds were not the normal green or dark yellow, but an off shaded mauve. The citizens of this town stared in disbelief at the forming chaos before the twisted touched down.
You may be a bit confused at this point. Or not, but maybe. It will all clear up in a few more sentences. You see, the storm was caused by an upset goddess called Ilyona. Apparently, a murder had taken place in the peaceful city and Ilyona, goddess of peace, was angered by this act of hate. So, Ilyona cursed a tornado to sweep through Oberlund in exchange for the murder. Yes, this was a bit unjust for one loss of life, but Ilyona was a very harsh goddess.
Yes, the twister was cursed. It gave everyone who was alive and living in the city a power. It also destroyed many homes and live, though that is un-important compared to the story of the Powered Ones. So the powers are in not in every way a good thing, which is why they are cursed. They each are completely immune to one power and can easily be injured or even killed by another power. Ilyona was one wacked goddess. Oh, and normal humans cannot be killed by the powers.
So as time went by, the town grew and the Powered Ones gave birth to future generations, they realized that off of the people with the very first Powered Ones in their family tree would have a power. Very confusing, I know. As more generations were born, people moved to the city and figured out about the powered ones. Now, the New Comers have also learned that they are immune to dying from the powers. They can be injured, but they cannot die from them and they cannot receive powers from them. Life is interesting for the New Comers.
Today in modern Oberlund, it is the year 3079. The New Comers and Powered Ones live in peace. Well, almost. You see, the Powered Ones easily win combat with the New Comers, unless either comes unprepared. The Powered Ones can be killed by the New Comers, though not easily. It is a weird world in Oberlund. And while all of this fighting is going on, some Powered Ones search for a way to best and kill the New Comers. An interesting town, is it not? And a new rule has been proclaimed. No relationships between the New Comers and Powered Ones. If there are, the Inforcers will know and a punishment will be decided.
So the actors are set, they have learned their roles, now all it needs is a director. Which side will you choose? A controlling, immortal New Comer? Or maybe a powerful, intriguing Powered One? Or might you be one for action and authority, an Inforcer? The stage is set. Which side will you choose?
